The existing team is looking to appoint an experienced solicitor with commercial litigation expertise to join as a key team member.
Established interest in litigation and legal risks insurance and funding is essential.This would suit a progressive individual who enjoys client facing work with analytical skills to review a wide range of commercial litigation and legal risks.
Responsibilities:
nDevelop a robust network of professionals in law firms and corporates, intermediaries, and funders, and capital providers.nAble to participate and/or lead in the risk assessment and underwriting of litigation and commercial disputes.nDevelop an understanding of bespoke insurance products related to legal risks covering both ATE and Contingency products.nCollaborate with technical underwriters to structure and execute a wide range of insurance products related to the growing legal risks sector.
Requirements:
nA minimum of 5 years of experience practicing as an associate solicitor with a recognised law firm and ideally experience from within the insurance or litigation finance sector.nRelationship driven including client engagement and development.
Able to cultivate relationships within litigation teams.nComfortable in presenting to develop product awareness/understanding for target clients.nDeveloping, implementing, placing, and negotiating of litigation focused contingent liability products to commercial litigants, law firms or other prospective purchasers.
Individuals within the legal risks or litigation funding sector are preferred.However, individuals moving from a law firm or corporate, who feels they have the right experience and expertise in these core areas, should also apply.
