- Conduct psychiatric assessments to diagnose mental health conditions
- Develop individualized treatment plans for patients based on assessment findings
- Prescribe and monitor medication regimens
- Provide psychotherapy and counselling to patients
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as psychologists, social workers, and nurses, to provide comprehensive care
- Monitor and evaluate patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions and treatment options
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences
- Minimum four (4) years' experience in the relevant field
- Medical degree from an accredited university
- Completion of specialty training in psychiatry
- Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and inclusion on the Specialist Register for Psychiatry
- Excellent diagnostic and assessment skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centred care
- Willingness to engage in continuous professional development
- Experience working as a Psychiatrist Consultant in a similar setting
- Knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities for various mental health conditions
