Place of Work


The primary location of this role will be our Head Office but agile working across our other services in York and Tadcaster will also be required.


The post holder may on occasions be required to travel beyond the region in the course of undertaking their duties.


Purpose of the job:


To work with the Head of Compliance, Governance and Quality to ensure that the trust is compliant in all aspects relating to regulatory compliance and corporate governance including Health and Social Care, CQC, Health and Safety and GDPR.


To provide support to the Head of Compliance, Governance and Quality in the monitoring of qualitative and quantitative data systems ensuring that actions, outcomes and necessary aims of audits, investigations, safeguarding's meetings, and incidents are completed.


Create process maps that help with the compliance elements of the Trust ensuring that when actions are raised and rectified the full path is completed and closed.


Main Duties:


  • Report to the Head of Compliance, Governance and Quality
  • Support the Head of Compliance, Governance and Quality to ensure that Wilberforce Trust Care Services are fully compliant with CQC and statutory requirements as a registered service
  • To check actions have been completed from audits, investigations, safeguarding's, meetings and incidents
  • To work with the Head of Compliance, Governance and Quality to complete monthly KPI figures and board report figures as required.
  • To work with the Head of Compliance, Governance and Quality to monitor all compliance systems, particularly RADAR.
  • To liaise with Head of Compliance, Governance and Quality and all the departments in instigating any improvement plans that have been highlighted as necessary.
  • To be part of the wider investigation team in regard to incidents, safeguarding and complaints.
  • To support the Service Delivery and Contacts Manager and Registered Manager to meet compliance and performance standards in care delivery
  • Support the Head of Compliance, Governance and Quality regarding all the GDPR processes, requirements and legislation across the Trust ensuring that we remain compliant
  • Assist and support the Care Team and support staff consistently deliver high quality, bespoke care and support packages.
  • Work with the Care Team to ensure all service user person centred planning is in place using the correct templates and formats
  • Work with the Head of Compliance, Governance and Quality to support the Activities and Events team to ensure that all activities and events are fully compliant withlegislative and regulatory requirements including health and safety, adult and children safeguarding and the General Data Protection Act (GDPR)
  • To ensure risk assessments are reviewed following any accident or incident
  • To maintain up to date knowledge of regulations and legislation within your professional remit
  • Provide reports on actions and outcomes that have been completed or are outstanding on a monthly basis as and when required by the Head of Compliance, Governance and Quality
  • Support departments in the creation of risk assessments
  • Support the Head of Compliance, Governance and Quality, HR and Facilities Department to ensure that staff are reading and acknowledging policies
  • Support the Trust in ensuring that the actions and objectives from the Risk Register are completed within their timeframe to help mitigate risks

General:


  • To attend meetings as and when required
  • Work closely with the Care Team to ensure that all compliance and performance standards in care delivery are met to a high standard
  • Maintain detailed, accurate and up to date records as appropriate for CQC, Local Authorities and the Wilberforce Trust
  • To take part in the out of hours oncall support on a rotational basis.
