Stock Controller - Grimsby - Permanent - £25,000


Chase & Holland are excited to be working with a well-respected, successful, and growing company with a turnover in excess of £100m and multiple sites.

Our client is looking for an energetic and ambitious Stock Controller to join their family run business who invest in their employees and their careers.

In this role you will take responsibility for ordering and managing stock levels throughout different Depots.

In addition to the trading team, the Stock controller will also work closely with the Operations, Sales, and Finance teams to ensure stock availability, accuracy, and integrity.

This role will see you assist the procurement team with all their day-to-day tasks and challenges. This is a great opportunity to for someone looking to enhance their skills and progress their Procurement career.

Stock Controller Responsibilities:


  • Administration of products on company order systems.
  • Use of company systems to analyse stockholding, future demand, and place orders with suppliers.
  • Monitor orders throughout the order process to ensure deliveries on time.
  • Work with Trading team to forecast future demand for promotions, new listings & seasonal uplift.
  • Coordinate internal stock transfers to ensure availability is maintained.
  • Check stocks when required.
  • Working with trading team to identify excess stocks and resolve stock issues.
  • Ensuring purchases are kept within agreed stockholding levels.
  • Work with suppliers, building great relationships to maintain stock availability for the business.

Hours:
Full-time, Monday to Friday.


Required Skills & Experience:


  • Must be IT literate, particularly in Microsoft Excel
  • Numerate, with excellent analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience within Stock Control and Logistics (Desirable)
