    We are seeking an enthusiastic locum Consultant colleague to provide maternity leave cover within our thriving lung and breast cancer practices.

    The post-holder will provide radiotherapy (including concurrent systemic therapy) and SABR for patients diagnosed with lung malignancies at St Richard's Hospital, Chichester.

    The practice is shared with a Consultant Medical Oncologist.

    The post-holder would also provide treatment (radiotherapy and systemic) for breast cancer patients at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth alongside a team of two Clinical Oncologists, one Consultant Radiographer and two Medical Oncologists.

    We were a very early adopter of internal mammary chain radiotherapy in breast cancer and have served as mentors for a number of centres wanting to implement this.

    The appointee will join the Oncology Team as a Locum Clinical Oncology Consultant and will be expected to participate in all facets of departmental activity.

    The post will be based at Queen Alexandra Hospital. Higher professional training in Clinical Oncology
    Entry on the GMC specialist register via CCT (proposed date must be within 6 months), CESR or European Community Rights
    An appropriate higher Clinical Oncology qualification
    Evidence of a clinical or research fellowship
    Understanding of clinical risk management
    Experience of recruiting to clinical trials
    Evidence of leadership/management experience within outside of medicine
    Formal management training/qualification
    Training of registrars
