    Data Governance Consultant Part-Time - 3 Days per week
    Remote / London / Hybrid
    3-4 Months (Initial Duration)
    £400/Day (Outside IR35)

    Data Governance Consultant is needed to join a leading Data Analytics Consultancy known for our expertise in delivering cutting-edge solutions to work on an exciting enterprise project with a Government client.

    The Data Governance Consultant will be responsible for shaping our client's Data Governance strategy and policies, ensuring that they align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

    As well as playing a crucial role in defining and implementing processes and procedures to manage and protect our client's data assets effectively.

    Responsibilities for the Data Governance Consultant includes:

    Develop and implement Data Governance frameworks, policies, and procedures tailored to meet the specific needs of our clients.
    Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify data governance requirements and priorities.
    Conduct assessments and audits to evaluate the effectiveness of existing data governance practices and identify areas for improvement.

    Provide guidance and support to business units in implementing data governance best practices and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).

    Act as a subject matter expert on data governance matters, providing advice and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders.

    Lead training sessions and workshops to raise awareness of data governance principles and practices across the organization.
    Monitor and track data governance initiatives, ensuring that they are implemented successfully and deliver measurable benefits.

    Stay informed about industry trends and developments in data governance and recommend appropriate changes to our client's data governance strategy as needed.

    Desired skills and experience for the Data Governance Consultant includes:

    experience in developing and implementing data governance frameworks and policies.
    experience working in a consulting role, in the field of data governance.
    stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships at all levels of the organization.
    analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex data governance issues.
    communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
    with data governance tools and technologies, with a preference for experience with Purview.
    in data management or data governance (e.g., CDMP, DGSP).
    of relevant data privacy and security regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA).
    to pass Security Clearance is essential.
