We have been talking to a number of clients recent who are hiring Project Managers with similar skill-sets - so if you are an experienced project manager with some public sector experience - ideally within Local Authority - then we'd love to discuss themwith you.

In most cases, these opportunities are driven by the need for improvement in change in councils as the impact of many years of funding cuts and economic challenge demand that Authorities review how they work to ensure they get the most from budgets and fromthe opportunities they find around income generation, local improvement and operational development.

The key skills involved are transferable:

The ability to engage Service Heads and decision-makers, establishing credibility and ensuring the deadlines are met and dependencies are understood
The ability to 'sell the benefits' of robust project management to nonPM stakeholders who are often familiar with different processes and ways of working which are less appropriate in delivering modern projects

Rates will be dependent on the individual assignments and your own level of experience. We anticipate the nature of the assignment making the contract Out of Scope of IR35.

As well as the core skills listed above, we are looking for strong communicators who are self-motivators but naturally engage with colleagues to drive progress and deliver results.
