Portfolio Administrator to support our clinical research portfolio in the

Ambulatory Care and Clinical Support division. The Ambulatory Care and

Clinical Support Research team prides itself on delivering high quality

clinical research across areas such as Dermatology, Diabetes, Rheumatology,

Ophthalmology and Critical Care. We have a large busy team working closely

with multidisciplinary teams to deliver trials and works in an embedded way

with frontline clinical staff. The portfolio of trials is large covering

commercial and non-commercial studies and we consider research as an

integral part of patient care and try to ensure that every patient is

offered a trial where appropriate.

Main duties of the job


The Divisional Portfolio Administrator will provide a supportive role in managing the research portfolio across the Division to realise R&I, Trust, and National objectives.

Our NIHR Nottingham Biomedical Research Centre is translating research discoveries into new treatments for common diseases including asthma and arthritis.

Central to our research is Nottingham's expertise in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).

Training and Qualification

Essential criteria

  • Educated to GCSE level standard (or equivalent) including English Language and Mathematics.
  • Qualification in IT/computing (i.e. NVQ, A level, BTEC or equivalent).
Desirable criteria

  • Strong numerical skills.
Experience

Essential criteria

  • Experience of information handling and analysis gained in a work environment.
  • Experience of working within the NHS or similar organisation with an understanding of Department of Health reporting processes.
Desirable criteria

  • Experience of information management within the field of research.

Salary:
The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
