About The Role:


We are seeking an experienced facilities officer to join our team on a full time basis, 35 hours per week.

Where possible flexible working or job share requests will be considered.


This is an exciting opportunity working within the facilities team as part of a busy department responsible for ensuring a provision of aquatic space.


Reporting to the Head of facilities, you will be responsible for ensuring the Swim England strategy on water is delivered.

About You:


  • Knowledge of the design & build process of swimming facilities
  • Extensive knowledge of the operation and management of swimming facilities
  • Knowledge of the appropriate legislation, standards and guidance in relation to the design, build & operation of swimming facilities
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence commercial operators
  • The ability to produce contract reports and provide recommendations
  • Proven ability to form relationships with a variety of external partners at senior levels
  • Experience of building relationships with political stakeholders
  • Technical swimming pool operational experience
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and presentation skills
