    About Us:

    L&N (Scotland) Ltd. is a leading manufacturer of Subsea Spools, Instrumentation & Control Systems, and provider of Specialised Engineering Services to the Oil, Gas & Process Industries based in Dyce, Aberdeen.

    Due to the recent award of large-scale contracts for 2024/2025, we have an immediate vacancy for an experienced person in the following role:

    Job Title:

    Manufacturing Engineer

    Main Duties/Functions:

    1. As a manufacturing engineer, you will be tasked as the first point of contact for all technical aspects within the manufacturing department and will report directly to the Manufacturing Manager.
    2. Your role will include:
      1. Reviewing all manufacturing drawings and work packs prior to being issued to the workshop to ensure all relative technical information is identifiable.
      2. Preparation of technical documentation when required for manufacturing jobs.
      3. Control over all SBT coordinates being input into the CNC bending machines.
      4. Generating inspection templates within the CMM software and providing technical support to manufacturing teams.
      5. Providing feedback/lessons learned with any manufacturing issues.
      6. Having a good understanding of all manufacturing processes within the workshop.
      7. Improving current operations wherever possible.
      8. Working with the engineering team to ensure all product requirements are met as well as providing lessons learned.
      9. Supporting Manufacturing & Projects teams for onsite integration work scopes.
      10. Assisting the workshop & QC departments with the interpretation & implementation of L&N's & Clients' requirements.
      11. Generation of internal rework plans.

    Job Requirements:

    SVQ level 3 within an engineering discipline

    Higher National Certificate (HNC) or greater within an engineering discipline

    Advanced knowledge of isometric drawings

    Good knowledge and experience of 3D CAD software packages

    Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office package

    Computer literacy

    Good organizational & communication skills

    Report writing

    Practical & logical approach to problem-solving

    Team working & work on own

    Core/Standard Working Hours:

    Monday to Thursday - 08:00 to 16:30, Friday - 08:00 to 14:00
