    Description


    Are you a highly skilled, flexible and dynamic Housing Assistant looking to work for a reputable organisation? Adecco Housing is seeking an experienced Housing Assistant on a temporary basis to be the first point of contact for members of the public, tenants, leaseholders and contractors with a housing enquiry and will be responsible for the delivery of an informed and courteous customer advice & information service.


    Working within a small organisation means that you will have the unique opportunity to understand, shape and make a real difference to the organisation and the tenants.

    (THIS IS A F/T OFFICE BASED ROLE)



    Duties:


    To deliver a high quality service within required time scales & deliver a quality advice service to tenants on a full range of housing issues.

    To represent the organisation at meetings with customers and ensure effective liaison with other agencies where required.
    To advise tenants on entitlement to Housing Benefit, and other welfare benefits including adjustments to existing benefits.
    To renew legal notices within the specified time.
    To be responsible for the letting/administration of garages, raising repair orders and reporting repairs to the Council.

    To ensure that an appropriate response is given to tenant's enquiries by phone or in person on all tenancy, rent and repair matters for example.

    To support staff in ensuring the overall appearance of the organisation is maintained. (communal areas, gardens, play areas, and lockups)
    To assist with viewings and sign up new tenants to their tenancy.
    To deal with enquiries relating to leasehold and tenancy matters, referring to Housing Officers as necessary.

    To carry out regular estate and block inspections with colleagues and residents to ensure internal and external communal areas are maintained to high standards and gain an appreciation of monitoring contractor performance.

    To assist in the production of monthly Housing Services performance indicators and other reports as required. (visitors to office, phone calls, complaints, type of enquiry)
    To make maximum use of IT systems.
