Senior Software Engineer (C++)

Aberdeen, UK

Full-time, On-site (Potential for Remote after 4-5 months)

£70,000 per annum

We are a cutting-edge technology company based in the heart of Aberdeen, currently focusing on subsea and underwater technology to provide high performance sensor solutions. As we continue to expand our team, we're seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer proficient in C++ to join us on our journey.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Utilise your expertise in C++ to develop high-quality, efficient code for desktop applications.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement intuitive user interfaces using QT with QML.
Demonstrate your skill of software patterns to architect scalable and maintainable software projects.
Utilize Git for effective software version control and collaboration.
Actively participate in code reviews, providing valuable feedback to enhance code quality and maintain best practices.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

Proficiency in writing robust C++ code with a keen eye for optimization and performance.
Experience in UI design, particularly with QT and QML for desktop applications.
Strong understanding of software patterns and architecture principles.
Familiarity with Git for version control and collaborative development.

Desirable:

Ability to develop web applications with for the frontend, Python API server for the backend, and SQL database integration.
Proficiency in advanced mathematics, enhancing your problem-solving abilities.
