Trainee Solicitor/Paralegal

They are looking to recruit an ambitious and proactive Paralegal/Trainee Solicitor on a permanentfull-time basis dealing with all conveyancing matters.

They are keen to ensure that you receive positive and practical training, are given a good level of responsibility early on.


Key Responsibilities
Some of the key responsibilities of a Trainee Solicitor/Paralegal include but are not limited:

  • Preparing estimates of costs using case management; and updating case management generate all correspondence involved in a transaction.
  • Carrying out Anti Money-Laundering (AML) checks on potential clients
  • Preparing legal documentation used in conveyancing matters including completion statements, leasehold management packs and Land Registry documentation
  • Preparing contract documentation for a sale transaction
  • Liaising with lenders and finalising sale details
  • Organising files for exchange and completion
  • Using internet banking for checking client accounts; for completions; and dealing with post exchange (Exchange Memorandum) and post completion work (Service of Notices, Deeds of Covenants, Licences, stamp duty preparation and submission to file closures)
  • Organising files for exchange and completion
  • Any other reasonable task that may be required as and when needed

The Person
The key skills and qualities of a Trainee Solicitor/Paralegal:

  • Experience in conveyancing work and knowledge of the requirements of CQS and LEXCEL is essential, and work processed to these standards.
  • Strong organisation and timemanagement skills to record all chargeable time and handle multiple workstreams in a dynamic and changing environment.
  • IT proficiency, being comfortable in using case management software, Microsoft Office and all conveyancing packages.
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal English
