    Lawyer or Senior Lawyer (Children's Social Care)
    (Salary - £43,626 to £51,813 with an opportunity to progress to Senior Lawyer £58,938. (HB Public Law is an innovative and ambitious legal service committed to the public sector and we seek lawyers who embody this approach. HB Public Law is one of the country's leading local authority shared legal practices, it is Lexcel accredited, and we pride ourselves on delivering a high-quality service.

    We have three separate teams of children's social care lawyers, who individually provide the legal support to the London Boroughs of Barnet, Harrow and Hounslow.

    We look after our own and understand that this area of law is highly pressurised and therefore understand the importance of work life balance.

    We offer flexible working, appropriate training and a highly supportive working environment to allow you to work autonomously in the workplace and at home.

    Our lawyers are expected to attend meetings in order to provide advice on all matters relating to children's social care functions, including child protection, public law care proceedings, pre-proceedings, fostering and adoption.

    There is an opportunity to represent social care clients in court proceedings where required.

    About you The successful candidate will be a team player who takes pride in delivering a high-quality service and is able to work under pressure.

    Candidates from both the public and private sector are encouraged to apply for this position, as the practice's current staff base is drawn from both sectors.
