    BI Engineer

    Central London – Hybrid (3 Days a Week)

    Salary: £50,000 - £70,000

    A fantastic opportunity for a BI Engineer to play a vital role in bridging the gap between Data Engineering and BI reporting at an expanding asset management firm.

    About the Company

    Join a progressive asset management firm dedicated to optimizing clients' financial returns. Specializing in secured loans, high-yield bonds, and structured credit, they are pioneers in the financial markets, leveraging data and analytics for informed decision-making.

    Role and Responsibilities

    As a BI Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting data cleansing, reporting, and analytical projects throughout the organization.

    This position offers a great opportunity to get hands-on experience in a dynamic environment, working with cutting-edge technologies such as Alteryx, Tableau, SQL, and Python.

    **Responsibilities**:

    • Help in setting up and managing data infrastructure, including data lakes, warehouses, and SQL Server databases.
    • Apply your expertise in SQL and Python to extract, transform, and analyze data from multiple sources, enabling data-driven decision-making.
    • Work with various teams to carry out data cleansing and validation, ensuring data accuracy.
    • Contribute to building and updating reporting dashboards using Tableau to offer valuable insights.
    • Support analytical projects by establishing datasets and calculation methodologies for new funds or investment strategies.

    Your Experience and Requirements

    To be considered for this BI Engineer position, you should have:

    • Proficiency in SQL and/or Python, with a willingness to adapt to new technologies.
    • Prior experience with Alteryx and Tableau.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
    • Ability to collaborate in a team setting, supporting technical and business stakeholders.
    • Ideal to have a background in financial services, exposure to high-volume data environments.
    • Understanding of SQL Server environments is crucial; familiarity with AWS infrastructure is a bonus.
