National investment means services are innovating and expanding.

We have recently increased the range of therapeutic interventions we offer, increased our access so service users can work with us up to 24 months postnatally and we are currently expanding our offer to fathers/partners.

Our focus is on improving outcomes for women/birthing people, babies and the whole family.


The post holder will be responsible for participating and assisting in the delivery of care for service users under the North London Partner Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Service.

This includes supporting partners, families, and professionals of those being cared for by the team.

The North London Partnership is a culturally diverse borough with many multi-ethnic, bilingual and multi-lingual speaking communities.

These may provide potential barriers to communication which could affect delivery of client care and the post holder will need to have an awareness of, and sensitivity to, social, cultural and economic issues.


This is a new role to the Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Service, if this role is successful during the 18 months this will be extended to a permanent role.

The post holder will be expected to work Monday to Friday 9-5 within their sub team.

They will carry out a range of clinical support tasks, including direct patient interactions, risk assessment, and delivering recovery interventions, identified as part of the service user's care plan, with particular focus to develop / sustain the mother and infant relationship.


They will work as part of the multidisciplinary team to provide excellent, compassionate, and sensitive care to women / birthing people.

Working under supervision, the post holder will provide direct support to a defined group of service users as allocated and delegated by the team.


The post holder will provide direct support to the service users and partners and families under the care of the service.

The focus of the role will be that of supporting women / birthing people and their families during the perinatal period.

Providing clinical assistance to registered and medical staff to ensure safe provision of care.
