  • At Tameside Council we are actively recruiting carers who can support adults who require day support, respite and long term placements. We are looking for local carers from all backgrounds, who can support vulnerable adults with varying needs.
  • Service users using Shared Lives have a range of social needs they may be: older persons, have physical difficulties, mental health issues or learning disabilities.
  • With your support, vulnerable adults have the opportunity to live with or share their daily lives with the carer. This can be through day support in the community, respite or a long term placement in a family home.
  • We need carers for adults over 18 years of age, you may have previous experience in a social care sector, experience supporting family or friends, or maybe you have never worked with vulnerable adults before.
  • We provide our carers with an excellent training, support and financial expenses, and will help guide them through the assessment process/ relevant training and work with them as a team to ensure the needs of the carer and the vulnerable adult are met.
