    Double Days, Monday to Friday weekly rotations

    Interaction Technical have partnered with a well-established, family-owned food production company on their search for a multi-skilled maintenance engineer to join their growing engineering team.

    Our client has been established for over 50 years and are one of the largest fresh produce companies in Europe, and they have now reached a stage of growth where they can begin growing the engineering team.

    The Benefits:

    • Salary between £41,000-£43,000 dependent on experience
    • Overtime available and paid at an enhanced rate

    The Role:

    • Electrical & Mechanical fault finding & rectification on automated machinery (conveyors, belts, cranes etc)
    • Conducting planned & preventative maintenance on an array of automated machinery
    • Fault finding and repair of electrical and mechanical Systems including Invertor Drives, PLCs, PSUs, Conveyors, Multi-head weighers, check weighers, flow wrappers, over-wrapping machines, gas flush machines and all other associated systems.
    • Installations & Repairs of mechanical and electrical based equipment, PLCs/Motor Drives/Invertors & Heating Circuits
    • Collaborate with the engineering manager to ensure smooth production of the plant
    • Suggest and implement continuous improvement methodologies to maximise efficiency of the plant
    There is a call out element to this role once fully trained.

    • Follow and adhere to company Health & Safety Policies

    The Requirements:

    • Minimum 5 years worth of experience as a Maintenance Engineer (essential)
    • Proven mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic capabilities in a manufacturing environment (essential)
    • Relevant mechanical/electrical Qualifications (City & Guilds/NVQs/17th/18th edition) - essential
    • Proven ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics (essential)
    • Previous experience working within the Food or Automotive industries (advantageous)
    • In depth understanding of fault finding/diagnostics on manufacturing machinery
