    Title:

    Regulatory Professional Support Lawyer (5 years + PQE)

    Hours:

    3 days per week [21 hours]. Applications for flexible working considered

    Working week:

    3 days between Monday to Friday

    Purpose of job:

    We are looking for an outstanding Professional Support Lawyer to provide a stellar service to the fee-earners within the Regulatory team.

    The core workstreams of the Regulatory team include:

  • Acting for regulators
  • Acting for businesses and individuals in the field of legal services
  • Acting for accountants and auditors
  • Acting for healthcare professionals and organisations
  • Defending individuals and organisations in the fields of fire safety and health and safety

    • This role will focus on managing know-how, training and supporting the development of the fee-earners in the team.

    The Professional Support Lawyer will also play an active role in supporting and guiding the use of AI technology within the team, and would be proactive in seeking to use LegalTech in a way that supplements and supports traditional methods of delivering legal services.

    Specific duties:

  • Supporting the Regulatory Partners and the firm's Innovation Partner on the development of new products and services for the regulatory practice area and its clients
  • Researching, monitoring, analysing and informing the Regulatory practice area of legal and industry developments and trends, articulating how they will affect the practice and its clients
  • Reviewing, drafting and maintaining precedents and practice notes
  • Drafting and coordinating current awareness updates, client alerts and other publications
  • Developing, organising and maintaining an effective system for the collection of knowledge resources, with the ultimate goal of ensuring that a comprehensive set of first-class materials is accessible to all lawyers
  • Coordinating internal and external training sessions and speakers on relevant legal and regulatory matters. This might include preparing and delivering training, where appropriate
  • Responding to queries from lawyers and tracking queries to identify knowhow and training needs
  • Actively contributing to a culture of valuing and leveraging knowledge
  • Working with other PSLs across the firm to support cross-practice initiatives and the consistent application of good practices in respect of knowledge management
