Description

We are seeking to recruit experienced and dedicated Primary School Teaching Assistants to work in a Primary School in Treorchy.

This school supports primary-aged learners and these Teaching Assistants will be supporting pupils with additional learning needs.

As a Welsh Government framework staffing provider, we will give you the opportunity to work in Primary, Secondary and SEN schools as well as numerous privately run education provisions across Wales.

Overview:

Title: Primary school Teaching Assistant
Pay: £ £75 per day minimum
Location: Treorchy
Hours: Ad Hoc, Short Term and Long Term
Monday to Friday 830am 330pm

The role:
What you'll be doing as a Primary School Teaching Assistant

Supporting and supervising learners with additional learning needs
Assisting learners at the start of the school day and when leaving at the end of the day
Assisting staff members in preparing the classroom for a lesson
Working with learners in small groups and or working 1:1 with children with additional needs
Support the class teacher in the delivery of the lessons
Assist learners at break time with their lunch
Engage learners with both classroom and outofclassroom activities
Work in accordance to the school's behaviour management policies
At least 3 months experience of working with children in schools, nurseries or childcare settings experience within an ALN setting would be beneficial
Registration with the EWC (the Education Workforce Council) we can help you with this
References covering the last two years (no gaps)
Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
