- Days Monday - Thursday 8am - 4.30pm Friday 8am - 3.30pm.
- Evening shift Monday - Thursday 4.30pm -2.30am
- Program, set up, and operate CNC lathes to produce high-quality plastic components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Develop and optimize machining processes to maximize efficiency, minimize waste, and ensure consistent quality.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC lathe equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to provide input on design for manufacturability and process improvements.
- Conduct thorough quality inspections of machined components to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards. Document programming, setup, and production processes for future reference and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Experience with plastic not necessary but a bonus.
- Proven experience programming and operating CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on plastics.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks) for programming CNC machines.
- Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling selection, and cutting parameters for plastic materials.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and manufacturing processes.
