Junior Ruby Developer - Hybrid remote - Glasgow (£40k)


This is a great opportunity for a Junior to Mid-Level Ruby developer to
gain exposure to Ruby 3.1.0, and work on a wide array of different projects directly with the Group Technology Manager of a very well-established managed services company.

£100m in turnover and 400 employeesspread across the UK.

They provide hybrid cloud infrastructure, network connectivity, security and digital workplace capability.

THE ROLE:


As a Full Stack Developer, you will be working alongside other developers, designers, and the marketing team to develop and improve the company's group web and e-commerce sites for their flagship brand.

You will initially be working very closely with the Group Technical Manager on the upgrading and modernizing of existing systems to improve performance, followed by a wide range of initiatives from online sign-up portals to datacentre automation tools.

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Approximately 3 years' experience working with Ruby on Rails
  • Understanding of MVC design patterns
  • Experience working with SOAP and REST API'S
  • Confident working with relational databases such as Oracle and MySQL
  • Open to learning additional development languages and tools.
  • Experience with ColdFusion would be advantageous, but training can be provided
