Vehicle Data and Risk Analyst

Working alongside the Risk Manager, you'll be using all your analytical skills to ensuring that a number of finance calculators, available to the wider business and partner companies, reflect their vehicle pricelists and the vehicle risk positions at alltimes.

Accuracy will be paramount to this role, as these calculations will be used by internal and external stakeholders, but especially your colleagues in the Risk team, to forecast and plan risk standing and movement at all times.

Key responsibilities:

Update all vehicle specific data within all finance calculators on a monthly and adhoc basis
Update new and used Residual Values (RV) on a monthly and quarterly basis, so that they accurately reflect the risk position of the company
Maintain the rate book calculators and provide updated rate books on a monthly and adhoc basis
Contribute in the daily meetings for monthly and quarterly updates to the finance calculators
Prepare data for the quarterly RV Committee's
Analysis of RVs for accuracy and trends to be shared with line management
Provide market analysis on vehicle valuation trends to guide RV decision making.
Maintain an up to date knowledge of market conditions in respect of both new and used car values.
Analysis of the RV portfolio risk together with recommendations for balance sheet RV provisions on a quarterly basis.
Maintenance of operational relationships on a day to day basis with various vehicle data suppliers to the Company.
Management as appropriate of tasks associated with all aspects of compliance
FCA, Data Protection and audit
Provide manually calculated RVs and GFVs on an adhoc basis
To act as deputy for RV Risk Manager when required in the absence of the RV Risk Manager
Any other appropriate duties as required by line manager.

Skills and Experience

Ability to manipulate data and create reports for Senior Management
Able to adapt to changing environments and timescales
Exposure to RV risk setting
Utilisation of Microsoft VBA and SQL
MS Power BI
An interest and knowledge of the UK car market
Knowledge of the retail motor finance and leasing sector
