    Description
    Job Activities
    Perform quality control related analysis in accordance with the documented procedures, standards and specifications.
    Record, interpret and communicate results effectively to the applicable departments.
    Investigate all quality related non-conformances, support relevant departments with quality related issues. Identify and implement corrective/preventative action where appropriate.
    Perform routine verification and safety checks on laboratory equipment to ensure it is in good working order. Troubleshoot issues when required.
    Manage equipment calibration, preventative maintenance and service to ensure compliance.
    Maintain and update relevant records (such as laboratory data files, daily verification checks, calibration logs).
    Maintain and update sample and document archives.
    Support installation and commissioning of new lab equipment.
    Support the introduction of new products at the Ferrybridge blending plant.
    Support update and maintenance of product BOM's (bill of materials)
    Engage in 5S and continuous improvement initiatives and ensure housekeeping and cleanliness are to the highest
    Create, review and update laboratory procedures, standards test methods and risk assessments.
    Assist in the purchasing and raising of PO's for Laboratory related equipment and consumables.
    Perform any other tasks required of the role, as requested/identified by Line manager.

    Qualification and Experience Required

    Science related GCSEs or A Levels (or equivalent) with a minimum 1 year experience of a technical / laboratory background.

    Good mathematical skills.
    HND or Bachelor's in a science related field preferred.
    Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within and outside the company.
    Be self-motivated and work without supervision.
    Flexible approach to problem solving and working arrangements.
    Punctual and reliable Computer literate with MS Office etc.
    SAP and ICP experience preferable
