WHAT TO EXPECT
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • You will lead / manage the NVH development on JLR programmes from Concept to Production, using standard JLR planning and reporting tools
  • Follow Agile process and demonstrate Agile working principles internally and externally to NVH dept.
  • You will be responsible for collaboratively working with VNVH Technical Chapters to translate these vehicle level targets into appropriate objective NVH targets at system and component level
  • Support competitor and comparator attribute benchmarking and futuring, including physical / virtual testing, measurement and visual assessments as required
  • Support delivery of all attribute requirement targets by gateway
  • Support to ensure all technical issues are identified and resolved
  • Support and maintain programme issues through the appropriate company tools and track these to successful resolution
  • Plan and support test and development activities as required or specified in the Design Verification Plan (DVP) on time and to budget
  • You will be responsible for working with the launch team to ensure that the target level of NVH performance is robustly delivered through industrialisation
  • Support NVH Dept in delivering 'Ignite' initiative across MLA Programmes to ensure correct balance is achieved between cost save and NVH attribute performance.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
Knowledge, Skills and Experience


Essential:


  • Significant understanding of all aspects of NVH hardware delivery/development
  • Strong business behaviours and Programme Management capability
  • Demonstrable delivery of vehicle attribute performance on programmes
  • Good communication and presentation skills to influence the Programme team and Component Owners.
  • Ability to work independently and lead a team to focus on delivery to meet programme gateway requirements, including timing.
  • Good understanding of all types of propulsion systems.
  • Strong structured issue resolution capability
  • Full clean UK Driving Licence (or equivalent).
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical/automotive engineering or equivalent

Desirable:


  • Good understanding of LMS TestLab.
  • Demonstrable resolution of specific NVH issue projects you have completed.
  • Knowledge of whole vehicle engineering and cross functional experience
  • Knowledge of Quality Operating Standards in Manufacturing
