GMP Recruitment are currently looking to recruit a Line Leader for a hugely successful manufacturing company located in Hay-on-Wye, on a full time, permanent contract.


Monday - Thursday: 05:50am -14:00pm Friday: 05:50am - 13:10pm

Line Leader main duties:

  • You have the lead role in teaching and facilitating working in a team structure; The Line Leader should be selfsufficient, resourceful and have the ability to delegate effectively to others.
  • The line leader will be expected to hold difficult conversations with their team in order to manage inadequate performance.
  • The line leader will be involved in the recruitment and selection of Production Operators.
  • Is responsible and accountable for the completeness and quality of the production documentation in their cubicle.
  • The Line Leader will assess, perform, communicate and be accountable for the target in their cubicle.
  • You are responsible for maximising output whilst maintaining the quality of product and documentation.
  • The Line Leader is responsible and accountable for the quality of output from their cubicle.
  • Ability to interpret line layout diagrams, and can set them up.
  • Participate in 5S events and 'sustain' cubicle to this standard.
  • The Line Leader will need to carry out return to work interviews and informal discussions in line with the company sickness and disciplinary policy.
  • The Line Leader will conduct performance reviews and one to one's with allocated employees.

Line Leader required skills and experience:

  • Demonstrable experience of working as a Production Operator
  • Knowledge and understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
  • Health and safety good practice (including Health and Safety legislation)
  • Basic IT skills
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Demonstrates attention to detail
  • Ability to be comfortable with and the interpretation and completion of documentation
  • Ability to make decisions within own area of responsibility
  • Ability to effectively communicate with others
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Leadership qualities
  • A selfmotivator and teammotivator
  • Approachable
  • Positive attitude

Note:
due to location, a driving licence is essential for this position.
