My client is a successful, modern, forward thinking Bridging Finance, Development Finance and Commercial Mortgage lender. The company have the experience to transact swiftly whilst still also taking a prudent approach to risk.


The company have a bespoke lending model, which provides them with the flexibility to consider the wider spectrum of a borrower's circumstances.

Through multiple funding sources from individuals to institutions my client can finance a diverse range of projects.


Due to exciting business growth the company are currently looking for additional experienced Bridging Finance Underwriter's with a keen eye for detail to join their established team based within their modern Borehamwood, Hertfordshire office.

The working hours within the role are Monday to Friday 9:00am to 17:30pm.

Free car parking is available onsite, and the office is also a short walk from the local train station.

Within this position
Key features of the role include:

  • Developing excellent relationships and keeping in regular contact with brokers, solicitors and valuers to ensure the best possible service levels
  • The constant risk assessment of each case as they develop
  • Sign off of cases with the firms credit team explaining the risks and creditworthiness of the borrower
  • The request of funding for cases near to completion
  • Regularly update the internal team of pipeline cases and case progression
  • Consistent review of efficiencies in policy and processes whilst maintaining the highest possible standards
  • Adherence to personal and team based KPI's
  • Working towards deadlines and prioritising workflow
  • A minimum of 2 years current/recent bridging/specialist finance underwriting experience
  • Welldeveloped relationship building skills
  • Great communication skills
  • An excellent understanding of the regulatory requirements
  • Development Finance experience would be advantageous but not a necessity
  • CeMAP qualified ideally but not a necessity
