- A valid Michigan?teaching?certificate?with Early?Childhood Endorsement?(ZA) or Early Childhood general or special education (ZS) endorsement OR Bachelor's degree in early childhood or child development with a specialization in preschool teaching, OR five (5) years experience as an associate teacher in a GSRP classroom. Those with significant coursework toward qualifications may be considered if the applicant is willing to sign a compliance plan stating they will continue to work toward proper credentials.

- Ability to communicate effectively and relate positively with students, co-teacher, parents, and school personnel.
- Good attendance and punctuality.
- Partner with families, working to engage them in their child's school experience.
- Commitment to equity, social justice and inclusion in all practices and position responsibilities.
- Team player who is able to multitask and prioritize.
- Navigate and utilize Google Suite and willingness to learn how to navigate and utilize other technology platforms.
- Bilingual skills are highly desired.
- Knowledge of the Early Childhood Standards of Quality for Pre-Kindergarten (ECSQ-PK).
- Knowledge of GSRP requirements as outlined in the GSRP Implementation Manual.
- Knowledge of State of Michigan Licensing Rules for Child Care Centers.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Formal training in the selected approved developmental screener (ASQ-3 or Brigance), comprehensive curriculum (Connect4Learning, HighScope, Montessori and/or Reggio Emilia), and authentic child assessment (COR) of the assigned classroom. Formal training is defined as comprehensive training in full implementation of a tool, completed by a certified trainer of the tool, such as those who have attended training of trainers.
- Knowledge of the Essential Instructional Practices in Early Literacy, Prekindergarten and Essential Instructional Practices in Early Mathematics, Pre-K to Grade 3.
- Knowledge of alignment documents between curricula and the ECSQ-PK. ?
