An excellent opportunity to join the Finance function of our Financial Services client as Financial Controller for their Asset Management business


This role is about providing control of the financial ledger through policy setting, control, risk, and systems framework leading to the delivery of the balance sheet and related externally disclosed statutory information.

You'll be accountable for the efficientand effective running of all financial reporting functions to the appropriate statutory, regulatory, corporate, and professional standards and controls supporting the asset management business in meeting its regulatory requirements.

In addition you will

  • Support Asset Management legal entity boards including board reporting preparation, presentation, and senior stakeholder management
  • Have oversight of outsourced functions, collaborating with third parties, auditors, and other stakeholders to ensure financial reports and fund valuations are completed accurately and on schedule
  • Prepare statutory accounts for the relevant business area's legal entities and prepare management accounts and intercompany analysis
  • Assist in the delivery of budgeting and forecasting
  • Review and challenge the monthly profit and loss, liaising with the function or franchise to understand and interpret monthly results
  • Stay abreast of changes which impact the business, its products, and its financial performance
About you

You will be a qualified accountant with financial control experience gained in an Asset Management or Wealth Management business. You will have knowledge and experience of UCITS funds, from day-to-day operations to product change including mergers.

In addition,you will have strong technical accounting and financial skills and a high level of accuracy and the ability to challenge sources of data.

People management experience is essential as is developed communication and relationship management skills.

Salary up to £70,000 + Bonus + 20% Cash/Benefit Allowance. Our client offers both hybrid and agile working.
