Hello sunshine and thank you for your interest in volunteering with us at
SUNSHINE, the brand new community charity that aims to bring people together and spread joy and community spirit.

We are delighted to hear from you and we appreciate your willingness to share your skills and time with us.

We are looking for a Trustee who can help us govern our charity effectively and ensure we fulfil our charitable purpose and vision.

This is a very important role that will have a direct impact on our ability to make a difference in the lives of many people.

As a Trustee, you will be responsible for:

Setting and maintaining the charity's vision, mission and values.
Developing and implementing the charity's strategy and plans.
Ensuring the charity complies with its legal and regulatory obligations.
Managing the charity's resources and risks.
Overseeing the charity's performance and impact.
Working closely with the other trustees and the staff team to ensure alignment and collaboration.

You will have the opportunity to:

Use your skills and experience to contribute to the governance and direction of a new charity.
Learn more about the charity sector and the issues affecting our community.
Contribute to the growth and development of a new charity.
Be part of a friendly and supportive team that values your input and feedback.
Make a positive difference in the community by helping us spread some sunshine.

The time commitment for this role is flexible, with quarterly meetings taking place during the evening between 6:30pm and 8:30pm.

These will be agreed by everyone at the first meeting and scheduled in for the year, along with any other important events and dates.

Trustee duties will be mostly done remotely except for the odd events throughout the year.
