We're With You So let us tell you more.What you need to know about the role...This Technical Architect role includes a hands-on engineering component: be prepared to roll up your sleeves You will be bringing the breadth and depth of your experience with web, cloud and data technologies to bear on many interesting challenges, helping us to complete our transition to an industry leading, fully cloud-native, always-available architecture.
You will ensure that the design of new cloud services and features is optimal in the context of our tech ecosystem, considering various functional and non-functional attributes, such as performance, availability, observability, security and cost.
You will maintain a strategic vision, ensuring that a fast-paced development cycle converges on your chosen target architecture.You will become The Gym Group's subject matter expert on architectural best practice in the Digital and Cloud Engineering spaces.
You combine the ability to strongly advocate for the leading edge in tools and practices with a pragmatic approach to legacy systems.
Knowledge of cloud platform design and software design for the cloud are more important for this role than lengthy experience as an Architect:we will be happy to consider applications from experienced developers or other engineers wishing to expand their career into architecture and systems design
