Job Description Are you looking for a career move to become a Tax Partner/Partner Designate/Director within a progressive accountancy firm?If so, this role within an established and growing practice with offices in Hertfordshire could be for you.
There is plenty of support for the incoming person and the firm can be flexible as to whether someone joins as a Partner straight or grows into the role over a couple of years.
The role with have an element of mixed tax but with a focus towards private client tax.The role would suit an individual from a mixed or private client tax background who is CTA, ACA or ACCA qualified, technically proficient and have a background in a tax advisory role within a practice environment.
ResponsibilitiesWorking with the Partners, managing corporate and personal clients, particularly for owner-managed and SME businesses.
Lead on tax advisory work.
Private client tax advice, IHT planning, probate and estate administration
Reviewing and preparing corporation tax computations and workings, particularly for owner-managed and SME businesses.
Advising on various tax issues relating to the sale of businesses, demergers and asset protection.
Leading a tax team and department, ensuring that clients receive excellent customer service and support.
Providing training and development for colleagues and team members.
Representing the company at networking and business events identifying new business opportunities.
Identify opportunities to introduce and cross-sell company services to new and existing clients.
Use a commercial mindset to strategically drive the tax offering and promote the tax capabilities with other team members.
You will be/have:
CTA/ACA/ACCA qualified.
Demonstrable experience of working in a tax advisory role within professional practice.
Technically proficient with expertise in both business and personal tax although candidates from a private client tax background will be considered
