- Assist the Finance Director with development and management of the Finance team
- Business Partner with operations leadership teams across multiple contracts to drive profitability and margin performance
- Management of results against forecasts and provide variance analysis for leadership team review
- Preparation, key support, analysis and coordination of the quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting cycle
- Production of reporting pack for submission to MD and FD
- Accountable for the timely and accurate completion of balance sheet reconciliations and identification of potential risks/opportunities
- Timely production of accurate insightful monthly management accounts
- Ensure financial processes/controls are adhered to and to identify/implement improvements in processes and systems as appropriate
- Review and challenge Project Financials at Forecast & Review meetings, partnering the Project teams to drive the best performance
- Application of commercial understanding to drive project profitability
- Overview and review of VAT returns, PSA and other tax returns
- Manage the interim and year-end audit process working with External Auditors
- Provide year end statutory and other information to Group FinanceSkills & Attributes of the Finance Business Partner
- Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent)
- Business Partnering experience supporting decision-making and drive the understanding of project performance in operational leadership
- Strong knowledge of financial and management accounting practices
- Experience in project accounting would be highly advantageous but not essential
