Salary:
G11 - £44,539-£49,950 per annum.
Contract Full Time, 37 hours - all year

Walsall Virtual School is seeking to appoint a dynamic and inspirational Deputy Head who is passionate about improving the educational experiences of children and young people in care.

The Deputy Head will work alongside the Virtual School Lead to provide team management and strategic planning.

You will lead the School Improvement and Pupil Outcomes stand of the Virtual School, developing effective relationships through challenge and support to schools, settings and wider services to ensure our children and young people are experiencing the best possible education.

You will take lead operational responsibility for tracking the attainment and progress of children in care aged 3-18, ensuring pupil premium funding is being used effectively to improve outcomes.

You will also lead on developing enrichment projects reflecting the identified need of our cohort.

You will have

Qualified Teacher Status
Comprehensive knowledge of legislation and national guidance relating to the education and care of children looked after and previously looked after children
Successful recent (within the last 2 years) teaching and leadership experience at Primary or Secondary level.
A secure knowledge and understanding of using data and intervention strategies to support the raising of attainment.
Experience of managing and/or developing the practice of others, including organising and delivering staff development training, induction and performance management

The Virtual School work to a Hybrid model with 3 days in the office and the rest of the time working form home or out in schools
