With us you can kick start your employment as an early career nurse or midwife through our comprehensive and individually tailored program. With full time or part time options available (minimum 0.8 FTE), our 12-month program is coupled with an additional Consolidation Year to further support your transition to practice and develop your clinical skills and knowledge. As the only national private hospital operator and healthcare provider in Australia, our 38 sites offer a range of acute, medical, surgical, mental health and rehabilitation services to the communities we care for.     Hunter Valley Private Hospitalwas established by the Masons in 1965, purchased by the Hunter Valley Private Hospital in 1985, and in November 2015 purchased by Healthscope. The best people in medicine will care for you at Hunter Valley Private Hospital, the most established hospital in the Hunter area. Dedicated to caring for people and families living in the Hunter region, at Hunter Valley Private Hospital our focus is you. Your expert team of surgeons, specialist doctors, dedicated nurses and other professionals will ensure your experience is the best it can be. We provide a range of clinical services including ophthalmology, orthopaedics, plastics, gastroenterology, pain management, general surgery and ENT surgery. We are also renowned for our rehabilitation program and medical services. Enrolled Nurses at Healthscope perform a variety of tasks under the supervision of registered nurses. Some of the tasks that you may be responsible for, in collaboration with the Registered Nurse, include caring for a group of patients, patient admission and discharge, medication administration, wound care, pre and post-operative care and liaising with medical staff and other health professionals. You will have the opportunity to continually develop, improve and promote best evidence-based practice. Site Specific Streams available
