Are you passionate about working with Early Years aged children? Do you have experience working with children at a nursery or school? Are you confident and energetic with a positive attitude?

Look no further than our Nursery Assistant role.

This role is to work as a Teaching Assistant in a Nursery Class at a mainstream primary school in Clapham.

Part of the role may require you to work across Reception classes too - giving the opportunity to gain experience across the entire Early Years.

To thrive as a Nursery Assistant, it's essential that you have:

A positive, caring, energetic, can-do attitude
A genuine interest in supporting children with SEN
Have a genuine enthusiasm for Early Years
The ability to monitor and record a child's progress
An understanding of the Early Years curriculum
An understanding of safeguarding children
A genuine interest in aiding children's development

Duties include (but aren't limited to):

1:1 support with a child or small group
Supporting the class as a whole
Making observations of your key children
Assisting the class teacher
Fostering relationships with parents
Caring and looking after children during break times and lunch times
Supervising children during activities
Managing challenging behaviour
Motivating children and being an excellent role model
