    Description

    Project managerContract role to the end of 2024Location: The Hague, NetherlandsManage major procurement projects, including insourcing andoutsourcing agreements in the area of cyber security, ensuring thatprojects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the higheststandards of quality.


    • Develop project proposals, technology evaluations, and otherproject activities requiring subject matter expertise.
    • Support reporting and communications with the CybersecurityService Line and NCIA's top management, to ensure that projectsare monitored and controlled across all management levels.
    • Develop and maintain agreed project plans and detailed stageplans, in compliance with the NCIA's directives and projectmanagement best practices.
    • Monitor and control project progress to ensure that resources areconsumed in accordance with the approved budget and within theapproved timelines and plan and monitor the project with relevantand current project management tools, such as for exampleServiceNow and MS-EPM (Microsoft Enterprise ProjectManagement).
    • Identify, plan, request, and manage the deployment of resourcesto meet project milestones and initiate corrective actions whennecessary.
    • Provide leadership and guidance to project team members,ensuring that they are motivated, engaged, and aligned withproject objectives.
    • Ensure that project risks are identified, assessed, and managedeffectively, and that appropriate contingency plans are in place.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, identifyingopportunities to optimize project delivery processes andprocedures.
    • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams across theorganization to ensure successful project outcomes

    The ideal candidate will have:

    Skill, Knowledge & Experience:

    • A university degree in management or related discipline, orrelevant experience and certifications. The lack of universitydegree may be compensated by demonstration of a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
    • Extensive experience in the management of large ICT projects,with a track record of 10 years delivering projects on time andwithin budget.
    • A formal project management qualification such as PRINCE2practitioner or PMI PMP, or other recognized project managementcertifications such as Agile or Scrum.
    • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, withthe ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
    • Previous employment within NATO and/or a military organisation.
    • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guideteam members to achieve project objectives.
    • The ability to build and maintain effective relationships withcustomers and staff at all levels.
    • A proactive attitude in seeking and maintaining trust fromstakeholders, understanding their needs, and leading constructiveways ahead.
    • A can-do mentality, with a focus on adaptability, resilience, andproblem-solving skills.

    * Must have:

    Security Clearance Required (SC/DV or NATO clearance levels)
