- Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive EHS policies and procedures in line with UK legislation and company standards.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement preventive measures.
- Lead internal audits and prepare for external audits to ensure compliance with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and other relevant standards.
- Manage and coordinate emergency response plans and procedures, including training staff on emergency preparedness.
- Analyze accident and incident reports to identify patterns and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Liaise with regulatory agencies and other external stakeholders to ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Develop and deliver EHS training programs to all levels of staff, fostering a culture of safety and awareness throughout the organization.
- Oversee the management of hazardous materials, including waste disposal and recycling programs.
- Prepare and manage the EHS budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to support EHS initiatives.
- Provide leadership and direction to the EHS team, setting objectives, and evaluating performance.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, or related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification relevant to the UK.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in EHS management.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a manufacturing setting (cleanroom manufacturing or an electronics background is preferred)
- Comprehensive knowledge of UK environmental, health, and safety legislation.
- Experience and knowledge of EHS management systems such as ISO 14001 and ISO Formal lead auditor qualifications in ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 is preferred.
- Proven track record of improving EHS performance and culture in a manufacturing setting.
- Demonstrated leadership and teamwork collaboration in professional settings.
- Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent computer and information technology skills, including MS Office applications, MS SharePoint, Box, or similar applications.
