Cyber Manager - Maidenhead, Berkshire, United Kingdom - Damco Spain SL

    Default job background
    Description

Cyber Manager - Operational Excellence - Cyber Exercising

Here at Maersk we're embarking on an industry-defining transformation, on a bold new direction, expanding our capabilities to become a true end-to-end logistics provider that can deliver intelligent solutions for customers around the world. It's a big moment for all of us – and we all have our part to play.

    What we offer

To work at Maersk is to work with the world. You'll learn from – and collaborate with – skilled professionals who literally move the world, every day. With a supportive environment to develop your skills, you'll gain access to world-class learning programmes to accelerate your career goals. And you'll find yourself welcome in our diverse and inclusive culture, where you are valued for who you are and rewarded for what you bring.

For this and many other of our roles, we can offer the flexibility of hybrid working, alongside industry leading benefits such as pension, and family health/dental insurances as standard.

As a Cyber Manager in the Cyber Security Operational Excellence team your primary role will be supporting the assessment, validation, and continual improvement of Maersk's Cyber Security incident response capability through exercising and operational readiness activities. You will work closely with Cyber Security teams to create and facilitate engaging exercises, and plans that align with strategic threats and risks. Working with key stakeholders across different technology departments, brands, and business units you'll work to instil readiness excellence across Maersk. Our team collaborates closely with both internal and external stakeholders, as well as the Security Operations Team. We prioritize people and processes, ensuring continuous improvement and effective incident response, while fostering collaboration across the entire Maersk enterprise.

This position does not involve direct technical involvement, and while familiarity with the cyber landscape and incident management is beneficial, it's not mandatory. It also doesn't entail managing people, but it does require relationship-building and collaboration with junior team members.

Your role in the Operational Excellence team (Cyber Exercising) will see you:

    • Develop detailed scenarios to use in exercises and incident response training activities
    • Manage the facilitation of tabletop exercises and associated debriefs
    • Coordinate the design, creation, and facilitation of validation exercises to assure the effectiveness of Maersk's Cyber Incident Response Processes
    • Independently scope, design, project manage and deliver exercises requested by brands, platforms, and other business areas
    • Build rapport with a diverse range of stakeholders and use consultation skills to understand the request requirements and suggest the best solution to address any concerns
    • Proactively embed cyber response procedures into a non-cyber business unit's culture
    • Conduct post-exercise evaluation, provide recommendations on improvements, and create reports
    • Communicate exercise, simulation, or test findings effectively with stakeholders
    • Conduct exercises in parallel with Red Teams
    • Contribute to process documentation reviews
    • Develop and maintain the Cyber Exercising toolkits and library
    • Promote cyber security best practices and instil operational readiness excellence across Security Operations team.

To succeed in this role, we believe that you can offer:

    • Ability to build and lead dynamic exercises/scenarios from inception to completion
    • Experience in incident response and/or crisis management is essential
    • Understanding of technical concepts and cyber security in the context of cyber response.
    • Basic understanding of offensive security techniques and attack methods
    • Proficient in stakeholder/matrix management with senior business and technology leaders.
    • Strong engagement and stakeholder/customer management
    • Proven ability to prioritise effectively, simultaneously managing multiple projects and tasks with deadlines
    • Report writing and facilitation & presentation skills
    • Experience in Cyber Resilience, Business Continuity Planning and Disaster Recovery.
    • Politically savvy with outstanding influencing ability and the ability to work with senior management
    • Ability to adjust scenarios & approach based on circumstances
    • Excellent strategic and operational business awareness, with a deep understanding of the key drivers, levers, issues and constraints of Digital businesses
    • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, and able to be understood by a wide set of stakeholders with differing technical expertise

If you have experience in resilience management or crisis management, strong stakeholder management abilities, and are adept at engaging, presenting, and facilitating discussions with Senior Stakeholders from Technology and the Business, as well as being keen on process improvement, this might be just the role you have been looking for
