    Job summary

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Band 7 fixed term / secondment contracts until to deliver the health inequalities children and young people asthma management project.

    We are looking for skilled and motivated professionals who can be flexible practitioners within the community setting, a good team player and be able to develop collaborative working relationships with other healthcare professionals, services and agencies.

    You will also liaise closely with a broad range of disciplines and agencies, including Education, social services, voluntary agencies and primary and secondary care.

    Clinical supervision and a supported induction is provided.

    We have two posts one in Colchester and one in Ipswich, please be aware some cross sites work is required.

    Main duties of the job

    You will sit within children's services with responsibility for the delivery of the Asthma in C&YP project as part of the Trust's Inequalities Programme.

    They will have direct clinical involvement and knowledge of paediatric asthma.

    Youwill be responsible for ensuring schools, GP Surgeries and potentially pharmacies in these areas are supported with achieving the asthma kite mark standards.

    You will be expected to assist primary and secondary care with referrals of children with poor asthma control, to improve asthma morbidity and non-elective attendances to primary and secondary care. You will be based at either acute site setting, or potentially work from community settings accordingly.

  • Diploma in Asthma Care and/or Paediatric Respiratory Care
  • Independent non-medical prescriber training
