    Role: School Admissions Placement Officer

    Team: School Admissions

    Salary: £17,071 - £18,255 per annum (for 26 hours)

    Location: County Hall, Worcester

    Permanent: 26 hours



    The Role

    We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated professional, with experience dealing with the public and other stakeholders, to assist parents/carers making applications for school admissions and ransfers, ensuring a school place is offered within a reasonable timeframe. The role involves working collaboratively with families and Schools to ensure that all young people are able to access education, leading to improved overall outcomes.

    The Mainstream Placement Officer will play a crucial role within the School Admissions Team, working to ensure every child has a school place offer. Working closely with schools, families and partner agencies you will work to identify barriers to learning and support families to overcome these. This may include action under Fair Access for those not able to secure a place.

    This post will offer support and guidance to families and schools and will be central to the Local Authority fulfilling their statutory duties; ensuring that all children are receiving the education to which they are entitled.

    Working Pattern

    Monday = 6.5 hours

    Tuesday = 6.5 hours

    Wednesday = 6.5 hours

    Thursday = 6.5 hours
