Role


Hickory is seeking an exceptional and highly skilled Facilities Maintenance Coordinator to oversee the upkeep of our fixed sites, vehicles, equipment and planning festival events requirements.


We're a well-established, yet growing market leader, and in line with our growth plans we are looking for a proactive individual to take real ownership of this exciting and multi-purpose role - no two days will be the same.


The person appointed must be capable of assisting the Operational Management team to meet the expanding needs of the business, its clients, and its teams.

Reporting to the Logistics Planning Manager, Venue General Managers & Festival Manager you will be required to perform a variety of tasks to ensure the smooth running of the operations and logistics of the business.


You will be responsible for ensuring our fixed sites are well always presented, both interior and exterior, you'll be an all-round handy person that is a real problem solver, equally as skilled with a paintbrush, as you are with joinery and minor electrical and plumbing work while planning larger scale festival work.


You will ensure that the company's vehicles and equipment are well maintained and meet any relevant health and safety requirements.


Your performance within the company will be monitored by achieving an excellent record of health and safety, managing the maintenance program in line with the budgets set, as well as the aesthetics of our 5-star venues.

Key Deliverables
Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to**:

  • Oversee the maintenance, upkeep and presentation of our fixed sites and grounds for the purpose of providing an effective and professional environment
  • Collaborate with skilled tradesmen for the purpose of completing projects and work orders efficiently
  • Ensure statutory compliance checks are carried out in accordance with current legislation and company policy, in a timely manner and that findings are recorded in the appropriate place and any necessary action taken
  • Install system component parts, office equipment and facility components for the purpose of providing a safe and workable environment
  • Maintain company vehicles, tools and equipment
  • Perform a wide variety of general and skilled maintenance activities for example painting, joinery, repairs and plumbing and light mechanical repairs
  • Ensure that any Sub Contractor on site works to the required standard, completes all the necessary paperwork and finishes the job to the specification set out
  • Prepare written materials (e.g. repair status reports, issues logs etc) for the purpose of documenting activities and/or conveying information
  • Managing responding to emergency situations during and after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns
  • Responsible for the company's vehicles, ensuring that they are maintained to high standards, vehicles are checked on a routine bases, services are carried out as per the manufacturer's requirement and the inside and outside are washed weekly
  • Ensure statutory compliance checks are carried out in accordance with current legislation and company policy, in a timely manner and that findings are recorded in the appropriate place and any necessary action taken
  • To comply with statutory and legal requirements for Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety, Licensing and Employment Law to ensure that members of the team are also aware of these requirements.
