The Clinical Education Team in Ambulatory Care Disvision want to meet you We are looking for a clinical educator to come and work with our team for a 12 month secondment, full time.

Main duties of the job


The post holder will be responsible for supporting the planning, co-ordination and delivery of nurse education and training to healthcare staff working within Ambulatory Care division.

This will include a variety of areas such as, Mandatory Training, Clinical Skills, Human Factors, Equipment Training, and supported working in the clinical area.

The individual will support all areas of education across the Ambulatory Division.

Training and Qualifications

Essential criteria

  • RMN or RN with a current Level One NMC registration
  • Previous experience in taking charge of a clinical area
  • Have completed all aspects of essential professional practice (WINWs & associated competencies)
Desirable criteria

  • Educated to degree level
  • Current ALS/ATLS provider/instructor status
Experience

Essential criteria

  • Extensive postregistration experience within speciality
  • Experience of teaching and assessing
Desirable criteria

  • Expereince in implementing change/service redesign
Communication and relationship skills

Essential criteria

  • Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well in pressurised situations
Analytical and Judgement skills

  • Ability to identify own learning needs
  • Ability to work autonomously as required

  • Demonstrate knowledge of current issues, and national initiatives relating education
Planning and organisation skills

  • Ability to collate appropriate evidence as required in relation to training provision

  • Demonstrate an ability to supervise and support newly registered Nurses

Salary:
The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
