Location:
This role could be based in our Edinburgh, Wythall, London or Telford offices.

This will be hybrid-based with a requirement to travel, working in the office (2 days a week when not travelling) and from home.


Flexible working:
All of our roles are open to part-time, job-share and other types of flexibility. We will discuss what is important to you and balancing this with business requirements during the recruitment process.

Salary and benefits:
c.£37,000 depending on experience plus 8% bonus up to 16%, private medical cover, 38 days annual leave, excellent pension, 12x salary life assurance, career breaks, income protection, 3x volunteering days and much more

The role
This role supports our iconic Standard Life brand and is at the forefront of delivering on our ambitious plans.

You will support the delivery of communication strategies and communication deliverables which protect and enhance our corporate brand and reputation.

The role involves UK travel for face-to-face presentations, and we also offer many online events too.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively contribute to projects as an engaged project member and guide smaller projects to successfully deliver communication outcomes
  • Continually review methods, processes, and practices so that the highest quality of deliverables is maintained
  • Building relationships and influencing within the function and across the wider business
  • Balancing workload in the context of changing priorities as business requests arise
  • Understanding when to refer issues or seek guidance from peers
  • Able to exercise own judgement, within the remit of the relevant communication, as to how the communication should be written, signed off and published

What are we looking for?

  • Financial Service industry experience preferred
  • Ability to present to clients
  • Stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines and produce quality outputs
  • A willingness to travel
