Join Our Team

SiriusPoint International, London is looking for an ambitious, business minded, performance focused actuary to carry out reserving activities for Sirius Syndicate 1945 at Lloyd's and SiriusPoint International, UK Branch for a month fixed term contract.

You will support the International Reserving Actuary in delivering the actuarial reserving process for London on a quarterly basis.

Your responsibilities will include:

Undertaking reserving analysis and peerreviewing work of junior resources.
Calculating Solvency II Technical Provisions in line with relevant guidance and external reporting requirements.
Presenting the results of the actuarial reserve setting process to management.
Working collaboratively to meet management and regulatory reporting requirements for Syndicate 1945, including for SiriusPoint and Lloyd's, and SiriusPoint London Branch.
Liaising with pricing actuaries, exposure management, claims management and underwriters to ensure reserving MI is kept uptodate.
Working with external parties (auditors, consultants, Lloyd's) as required to support the Syndicate's external audit and validation processes.
Assisting with the provision of reserving and Technical Provisions data and parameters for the Internal Model.
To perform all duties in line with the FCA Individual Conduct Rules as documented in the Employee Handbook.
Any other duties as reasonably required.

Your skills and abilities should include:

Excellent academic record and degree level qualification
Qualified actuary with a recognised professional actuarial society
Solid General Insurance reserving experience, preferably in a London Market context
Strong communication skills, ability to work both independently and within a team
Knowledge of ResQ desirable
Advanced Excel and VBA skills, Access skills preferable.
