    At Honda we embrace inclusion in our various policies, so whilst our contracts state that the hours are as required to fulfil the role with a minimum of 35 hours per week, we offer flexibility for when you work. The regular office hours are 08:00 – 16:00 Monday to Thursday with a half hour lunch break & 08:00 – 13:00 on a Friday. However, we offer flexibility of when you work with our daily flex-time start of between 07:00 and 11:00 providing that there is no business requirement.

    Whilst there is no contractual right to work from home, the flexibility we offer is that you can request to work from home for a maximum of 50% of the working days in any one month, again providing there is no business requirement to attend the office.

    Role:

    Reporting to the Product Safety Section Manager, your role will be to work as part of a team responsible for co-ordinating Market Actions for Car, Motorcycle and Power Products (Safety Recall, Product Update, Delivery Stop, and Warranty Extension campaigns). You will be involved in all stages with activities such as service bulletin issuance, monitoring, reporting and improvement of campaign performance with proactive action projects.

    You will be responsible for Motorcycle Warranty monitoring and Quality items for UK branch, and parts collection for Quality Information Communication (QIC).

    You will be required to present to a wide audience ranging from your peers to senior managers & Branch/Distributor Management. You will also need to be highly organised and able to create and manage action plans for multiple countries within the European region.

    The role requires occasional travel within the UK and overseas.

    Main Responsibilities:

  • Gathering and creating all necessary information to start market campaigns including, service bulletin creation, and completing warranty set-up documents for all European campaigns.
  • Proactively monitor ongoing campaign performance and delivery stop activity via frequent report analysis. Follow-up with underperforming Branches, and complete remediation to meet targets.
  • Supporting the Service Engineering Manager with coordination, planning and repair of motorcycle warehouse units affected by factory shipment suspension notice (delivery stop).
  • Carrying out market investigation to understand campaign performance for our Focus campaigns in each Branch, reporting findings. Recommend remedial action to your E4, including discussions necessary.
  • Collating Sales Country information for all new European Product Safety Campaigns and circulation accordingly.
  • Providing support to Branch / Distributor for campaign or product enquiries for Car, Motorcycle, and Power Products.
  • Responsibility for providing information and input into business plan objectives and targets for Motorcycle.
  • Support HME team with focused model market quality requests and other factory lead quality monitoring activities.
  • Motorcycle warranty monitoring and delivery of Quality Information Communication and QIC parts collection for UK market and other factory quality improvement projects.
  • Project manage activities, which may include working with an external supplier and/or other internal HME departments, making sure that any project remains within agreed time schedule and budget.
  • Provide support for the Centralised Pre-delivery Inspection (PDI) Audit activity, including with its expansion.
  • Gather and supply the information required for Honda Motor Technical Service Department (HM TSD) and HM Service Division to manage funding for campaign improvement programs.
  • Identifying, evaluating and implementing new and innovative customer contact and engagement techniques.
  • Participation and contribution to regular department business and quality activity meetings, with ability to understand and explain technical items to both Factory/Research & Development and stakeholders.

  • Qualifications, skills and experience:
    Required

  • Highly computer literate and numerate.
  • High level of technical/engineering competence.
  • Able to work as part of a team and to motivate yourself to work under your own initiative.
  • Able to build relationships within Honda and outside of the organisation. Strong interpersonal skills and able to communicate and network with your peers and senior managers.
  • Customer focussed and able to present information in order to reflect market requirement.
  • Good organisation and administration skills
  • Ability to travel as required, including overseas.
  • Ideal candidate will have a good understanding of market quality improvement activities.
  • Strong presentation and reporting skills.

  • Desirable

  • Experience or an interest in the Motorcycle business would be beneficial.
  • Valid UK Driving Licence (Motorcycle desirable) to carry out some product testing to support quality issues/legal cases.
