- Resolving monitoring issues for our internal Infrastructure
- Ensuring core networking and hosting platform are performing at optimal levels
- Design, plan, and test networking platform projects, for maintenance, expansion, and upgrades
- Ownership of internal projects and manage others to deliver projects to a high standard
- Ownership of leading departmental project
- Escalation for the service desk of client issues they cannot resolve
- Deliver internal training to other departments as required
- Mentor non-senior engineers to develop skills and knowledge
- Base salary of £48,000-£55,000per annum depending on skills and knowledge

Qualifications - Hold at least one Service Provider or Enterprise Network (Juniper/Cisco/etc) certification at the "Professional" level;Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer or equivalent Next-Generation Firewall vendor certification (Desirable)Knowledge of the ITIL Framework.
Networking - Extensive experience with Juniper, Cisco, and Palo Alto Networks products.
Routing & Switching - Extensive experience with Juniper and Cisco routing and switching
Projects -Proven experience in planning and implementing networking projects.
Monitoring Systems -SolarWinds, Nagios, Splunk etc.
Communications -Experience working with complex Wi-Fi deployments & Unified Communications
BGP -Experience working with BGP in an ISP environment.
Broadband -Experience working with 3rd party suppliers to provide broadband services.
MPLS -Experience working in an MPLS environment.
Product Knowledge -Juniper, Cisco, and Palo Alto Networks products
Service Delivery -Strong understanding ofticket systems and understanding priorities and SLAs
Essential Soft Skills - Effective communication; methodical approach to diagnosis and documentation; independent research; coaching & mentoring; organisation and prioritisation; full clean UK driving license; excellent conversational fluency in English is required to clearly explain complex technical issues.
