    Permanent, s alary:
    up to £35,000 depending on experience
    5 days (Mon – Fri)

    Our client is a leading Automotive Test facility, they have an excellent opportunity for a Machinist/Technician to join their team a machinist who can use Milling machines, Jig borers, Centre & Capstan Lathes, Surface and tool grinders to manufacture one-off + small batch components from design drawings.

    The successful Machinist / Technician will join a Company offering customisable vehicle testing solutions, which include; Whilst this role is based on site in Leyland, there will be an opportunity to travel as/when required
    Liaise and work with engineering staff to manufacture parts using Milling machines, Jig borers, Centre & Capstan Lathes, Surface and tool grinders to support the Test Departments
    Order stock and Day to day housekeeping and maintenance of the Machine Shop
    Provide basic level of facility breakdown diagnostics and resolution
    Develop initiatives to reduce waste and optimise efficiency
    Automotive industry experience
    Fabrication and welding experience
    Proficiency in Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Microsoft Office applications
    Confident in writing risk assessments and awareness of COSHH
    Full UK driving licence
    Forklift truck license
