Job Role:
Press Brake Draughtsman / Cutting Operative
Location: Sheffield, S9
Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5pm
Salary: £31000+ DOE

Metalis is collaborating with an established manufacturing company in Sheffield. Due to sustained growth, they seek a skilled Press Brake Draughtsman/Cutting Operative. They are open to various levels of experience, including CNC CAD graduates. They prioritize attitude and a desire to learn.


Job Duties:
- Programming CNC 3D waterjet, flame cutting, and press brake machines
- Supporting and troubleshooting customer inquiries with the sales team
- Effective time management and proactive organizational skills
- Ensuring efficient production runs through nesting and time planning
- Programming Flame cutting machinery
- Programming Bystronic Press Brake Operations
- Programming WJS 3D Waterjet Machinery
- Efficient part nesting on all sheet sizes for maximum Yield
- Supporting sales staff with order confirmations and feedback
- Managing job orders and process scheduling
- Identifying potential production enhancements and improving process efficiencies

Job Requirements:
- CAD Experience essential (SolidWorks preferred)
- Ability to read technical drawings essential
- Experience with manufacturer-specific Bystronic, Trumpf, and Waterjet Sweden software preferred
- Willingness to acquire new skills as full training will be provided
