Mpeople Recruitment are currently working with a reputable engineering organisation in
Rochdale that are looking for an
Office & Accounts Administrator to join their well-established team.


  • Location: Rochdale (OL11)
  • Salary: £10,000 £24,000 dependent on experience
  • Hours of work: 08:00 16:00, 08:30 16:30 or 09:00 17:00, Monday to Friday

The Accounts Administrator will cover a variety of duties, including but not being limited to:

  • Generating around 100 invoices per week using SAGE 50
  • Balancing accounts and identifying any discrepancies using SAGE
  • Sending out statements and remittances on SAGE
  • Liaising with the factoring company regarding the Sales Ledger (and as required completing some credit control/cash collection duties)
  • Researching new customers before allowing them to open an account, as well as completing credit checks
  • Raising order numbers for new orders
  • Generating documentation from company databases and systems
  • Managing incoming customer enquiries (new and existing customers)
  • Assisting in planning and scheduling of the engineers' service workload
  • Transferring incoming calls to the correct person
  • General administration as required (i.e filing, processing, scanning etc)

Skills, Experience & Attributes Required:


  • Experience using SAGE (preferably SAGE 50) is essential for this position
  • Experience of invoicing (preferably high volume) would be desirable, as is experience within a Finance/Accounts department would be essential
  • A good eye for detail, and able to maintain accuracy within a fastpaced environment
  • Strong numerical skills
  • Problemsolving skills
  • Confident interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • A positive and enthusiastic 'can do' attitude, and a great teamplayer
